Job Title: Technician II, Line Maintenance
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:45 pm to 2:15 am
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations in Abbott’s Heart Failure division. Supports repair, installation, and modification of industrial machines while maintaining accurate records and following all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment.
Record all maintenance and repair activity using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial and production machinery.
Use small tools, micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, multimeters, and other precision instruments.
Read and interpret drawings, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Utilize PC and Microsoft Office software for documentation and reporting.
Diagnose PLC problems and perform corrective actions.
Tear down, inspect, and rebuild production equipment as needed.
Requisition parts and materials for inventory and emergency repairs.
Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two-year technical/vocational training and/or military experience.
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience on industrial machinery.
Skills & Competencies:
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Ability to read technical schematics and follow written/verbal procedures.
Knowledge of CMMS and inventory management.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
